Why are there certain numbers missing from the Scott's Catalog? Scott's saves numbers anticipating certain stamps the government has indicated will be printed. When those stamps are not printed Scott's has extra numbers. Also, when the postal service prints unplanned varieties Scott's must come up with extra numbers where they do not exist. That is where the letters like 78b come into existence. |

Grills were placed on stamps in an attempt to prevent the removal of cancels. Many small post offices did not have regular cancellers and used pen and ink. The ink eradicator of the day easily removed many cancels. The use of grills was not successful because it caused sheets to fall apart too easily. |
We have Excel, Office 98, 2001, and 2003 on our iMac G-5 computer with OS X . You may phone, fax, mail, or email your order. Credit card information can be sent in two or more emails for security or via one of the other methods listed. We keep no secured information on our computer. After your first order we will retain your personal information in our vault.
A. Fill out your name and address. State whether mint &/or used stamps are being ordered. Alternate selections appreciated.
B. Please list: 1. Lot Number 2. Scott Number 3. Price
C. Total all items, apply appropriate discounts, and 5% sales tax for Iowa residents plus any local option tax. See terms and conditions for discount information.
D. No charge for postage and handling in North America. U.S. orders over $500.00 will be sent by priority mail at no additional cost. Orders under $500.00 can have priority mail by adding $4.00 to the final cost.
E. World wide orders must include $5.00 (U.S.) (ONLY ACTUAL USED) for postage and those orders requiring registration must include an additional $8.00 (U.S.). All payments must be in U.S. dollars.
